Early Families of Alfred, Maine

Maine genealogist, Fred Boyle, is announcing the publication of his latest York County book, Early Families of Alfred, Maine, on April 22, 2006. The new book provides genealogies of about 150 families in what has been York County's shire town for about 200 years. This book is the author's final Early Families book and completes his research into the families of Sanford-based or Sanford-connected towns. The book covers families settling in Alfred before 1850 and carries them forward through those families in which there was a birth by 1900.

The price of the book, which is hard-covered and 501 pages in length, including a full index, is $65.00, plus tax ($3.25) for Maine residents only and a postal/handling charge of an additional $5.00.

BOOKS MAY BE OBTAINED AFTER APRIL 22, 2006 at the author's residence, the Springvale Public Library and the Goodall Library [Sanford]. There will be a BOOK SIGNING at the Alfred Village Museum, on Oak Street, Alfred (next-door to the Beehive) , Saturday morning APRIL 22 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
